Jennifer Buonagurio has a dream–she wants to make it in the world of adult entertainment. With her brother, Richard, acting as manager, the New Jersey siblings pack into a mini-van and head cross-country to the mecca of porn: Los Angeles. There they enlist the help of AVN Hall of Fame Pornstar Miss Brittany Andrews to navigate this new terrain, and deal with the inevitable hurdles of such an endeavor: a jealous boyfriend, concerned parents, a Catholic upbringing and, of course, potentially exploitative adult industry “professionals.”

SIRWIÑAKUY (LIVING TOGETHER)
Amy Hesketh, 2010, Bolivia, 111 minutes.
In a Bolivian coffee-shop, middle-aged Luis spots Anouk, a young, pretty French woman with exquisitely bad table manners. He approaches her and, without introduction, asks her to go with him. Anouk surprises the both of them by acquiescing and, after packing up the few belongings in her small rented room, goes to live with him in a crumbling, colonial house. There he subjects her to often sadistic attempts to frame and discipline her into the woman that lies beneath her childish exterior, and the two participate in their own kinky version of a sirwiñakuy… an indigenous tradition where a man brings home a trial “wife.”
