CineKink Film Festival Submission Deadline Approaches, Announces 2014 Dates
 
Only 1 Week Remains to Submit Kink-Friendly & Sex-Positive Entries for 11th Annual “Kinky Film Festival,” Held in NYC February 25 – March 2!
 
December 5, 2013 – RAHWAY, NJ – CineKink reminds filmmakers only one week remains to submit entries for its 11th annual film festival. The call for entries to submit works for CineKink/2014 runs until December 6th for postmarked entries; those submitting online have until December 12, 2013 to enter their films, videos, and excerpts. Scheduled for February 25 – March 2, 2014, the eleventh annual CineKink NYC will feature a specially curated program of films and videos that celebrate and explore a wide diversity of sexuality. In addition to screenings, plans for the festival also include a short film competition, audience choice awards, a special adult entertainment showcase, and a gala kick-off event. A tour is set to follow, showcasing audience favorites from the NYC festival selections.
 
Billing itself as “the kinky film festival,” the event is presented by CineKink, an organization dedicated to the recognition and encouragement of sex-positive and kink-friendly depictions in film and television. With offerings drawn from both the independent cinema world and the adult, works presented at CineKink NYC will range from documentary to drama, comedy to experimental, slightly spicy to quite explicit–and everything in between.
 
“The quality of the works coming in has been tremendous and we’re looking forward to an excellent season ahead,” said Lisa Vandever, Co-Founder and Director of CineKink. “Setting off on our next decade of the festival, it’s great to know we’ll be able to connect our audiences with the smart and sexy offerings they’ve come to expect.”
 
The 2013 festival saw Audience Choice Award honors given to “Remedy” (Cheyenne Picardo) for Best Narrative Feature with “Betty Page Reveals All” (Mark Mori) winning for Best Documentary Feature. In the shorts competition, juried festival awards went to “Pinecone” (Michael Markham) for Best Comedy Short, “Krutch” (Matthew Clark) for Best Dramatic Short, “Impact” (Mollena Williams) for Best Experimental Short, and to “Zucht und Ordnung” (Jan Soldat) and “Ritual” (Jörg Fockele), tied for Best Documentary Short. Honorable Best Mention awards were presented to “50 Seconds of 50 Shades” (Bo Blaze), “Amber” (Aven Frey, Gala Vanting and Frank Ly) and “Rift” (Keith Hodder). The annual CineKink “Bring It!” award, determined by audience vote during a showcase of current adult cinema, went to “Joy Club” (Petra Joy).
 
CineKink is currently completing its 2013 tour with a series of screenings in Australia, a first for the organization, concluding a season that also saw the festival visiting Portland, San Francisco, Austin, Chicago, Berlin, and more.
